The UN Environment is organizing a public consultation on the guidance document for Key Environmental Indicators for the Tourism Private Sector.

The guidance document on Key Environmental Indicators for Private Tourism Sector is the outcome of collaboration between major life cycle approach and sustainable tourism experts from academia, international organizations and industry associations.

The document identifies major environmental indicators that would help the tourism private sector to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Paris Agreement using Life Cycle perspective.

Key objectives of this consultation are:
-communicate recommendations on Key Environmental Indicators to tourism value chain professionals;
-collect feedback and suggestions from the tourism industry in order to improve suggested indicators and implementation guidelines.
